Your correct Craig ! and I have wrestled with that as well ! I like the stripped down look but then at times I try to turn it into an Ultra ! Especially with the rear fender and adding a LED taillight from CD !

Not sure on the CVO, but one of the first things I put on was matching Lowers. And I agree with you, it does set the bike apart from others.

They should make some sort of quick-release for use on longer highway trips and then quickly off for local trips.

I bet !! I demoed the HC before I bought my SG and it was really balanced and nimble !! You mention Dump Tuck and motorcycle in the same sentence ?? !

I wouldn't mind adding a crash bar to my sloptail and add soft covers for cold weather touring.

I personally don't mind the lowers. But up here, its nice to have on cold days. Last year when myself and Teeroy rode on Oct 17th in 35F, they were a Godsend. LOL. But I get cold easy now.

I'm gonna get the soft lowers ! The hard lowers are a little pricey right now !

I think she would be highly functional on the back of my bike, and she looks good too!

As long as she has soft lowers and not hard lowers.
