The jalapenos about the size of the ones in your pics. The pabalanos (which make great chile rellenos) get about 6 inches or so. The sweet (banana) peppers will grow to about that length, the habaneros about the size of jalapenos.
Our friends and neighbors benefit from the overage, I cannot tell you how many gallon bags we give them when they ripen. End of season they see us coming and run the other way.

Yep. We grow several types for varying dishes, purposes. Once you learn to make home made salsa you'll throw rocks at the crap served in restaurants.
Tim, next time you're gonna grill outdoors try this, delicious. Get several pablano peppers, look for ones that are flatter. Throw them on grill long enough to turn the skin dark. Take them in, run them under cold water and peel off the skin. Slit them open, remove veins and seeds. Stuff with shrimp, sprinkle a little garlic and top with cheese. Close them up, put in foil and throw them on the grill while you cook your main dish.
