Noob question...In rain, do you have to put a sock over the intake if you go with a stage one since the filter is out there?

 

Depends how heavy the rain. I haven't used one yet.

 

Not a problem out here in the desert. Think I'd just throw a sock in the saddle bag in case it starts pouring on you.

 

I never ran a sock but I've been in rain so hard I had to drop a gear because it was choking on water.
