Zal, are these boots for pleasure wear or work wear? I've got several exotics-ostrich, snake, etc- but I have a pair of elephant skin that have lasted years and are tough duty boots.

No kidding. Its like Heaven.
The problem with western style boots as riding boots is the leather sole. When at stop lights the leather sole can sometimes be slicker 'n owl crap and you may spill it right in front of everyone. I'm no Imelda Marcos, however riding boots are purposed for me. You also get very good ankle support in a lace up boot versus pull on.
