You won't need a "High Altitude Model" as long long as you can calculate the time it takes for the element to heat up. Given the spring tension ( calculated at sea level ) the lighter ( which will actually be lighter at higher altitudes ) will eject with a much greater force hence possibly hitting you in the knee ... Premature ejection ( I think that's how you spell it ) can ruin your day, or night, or "Afternoon Delight"

In Guthrie, OK (about 25 miles north of OKC) there is a Zippo lighter museum. They have some really great old Zippos.
