When you're drinking against your will, stopping is a hard thing to do no matter what the police, Dr.s and family say. Good on your friend, I wish him the best and hope he has sought out support.

I too have lost several friends and acquaintances through the years to drugs and alcohol. It's the not being able to do a damn thing about it except watch them spiral down that's the worst part to me.

I do like the Jeeps. Especially the Wranglers. But with 4 kids, just not practical. But I would love the 4wd in the winter and the convertible in the summer. But I guess with the p/u truck and the bike, I kinda have that already.
Wranglers are so over priced now... I looked at a few but for what I needed to runs around in so I could park the dually for the winter, I ended up with this...

2015 Trail Hawk

I looked at those but couldn't get over the grill so I bought a 2015 Tacoma 4WD.

I hear ya but.... I have had four of them, two were dually's, I like the ride and the power, why drag two extra cylinders around when you can do it with six...

Had a young man (40ish) just die from it a week ago. Had 4 years, but went back. Tragic.
