Funny story you just cant make up. So we have a 5000 gallon fuel tank/pump out back. I see a student drive over to fill up three 5 gallon cans. Well about 2 hours go by while im cleaning up the shop and I hear the fuel pump still running. I go out there and I see this student sitting on a stool filling up his first can and its only 1/2 full. As I watch him he pulls the trigger and a splash of fuel comes out then he does this again. So I walk over and ask him if he wants to know how to fill his can a faster way. He looks at me and says " there's a faster way to do this huh". I proceed to show him how to pull the vapor recovery snorkel back and filled his can in about 2 second. Then he asked me if he "looked pretty stupid doing it this way". I said maybe a little bit. The guy was 26 years old and no one had ever shown him how to fill a gas can from a fuel pump. This wasnt his first time filling cans either. Said it usually takes him a few hours to fill the three cans. He wasn't a dumb kid. Boy the things you take for granted.

 

OK, let me get this straight. After I unzip and stand near the can I have to pull what back? There just ain't a lot available to pull, will this impede flow?
