Depends on the charging system. The current 3 phase 45 amp system has ample power to run two sets of heated gear. The older single phase system might be an issue.
Heated gloves, bars, jacket and gloves draw 13 amps. On my softail I have plenty of amperage to spare. Now a touring bike with all those lights, stereo, and espresso maker might be a bit much but they do have a 50 amp stator in the SE catalog.
I'm a cold weather wimp.
I've been in long handles since mid-October. My commute is only 10 miles. Any longer and I'd be looking up heated gear myself. I may look into heated gloves.
Not an issue today since we're getting pummeled by snow.
I know. No worries. My commute is 40 minutes. 15 minute commute and I could handle a lot more. A few 15* mornings pushed me to get the heated gloves.
I rode yesterday for the first time in months and had such a fun time I stayed out a little late, coming home it was in the mid 30's and the wife and I froze our asses off.
Going on a ride New Years Day and it suppose to be in the mid 20's when I leave my house so maybe I will buy the wife one of those things so she doesn't get too cold.

But what are you doing putting away holiday stuff before the end of the holiday?
