Tonight is a milestone of sorts. My Grandson is almost 5. I want to prepare him for the world, bullies, etc, so we did some sparring for the first time. In no way was I rough, but it wasn't just play either. I want him to be able to take care of himself.
Been working on his manners too. I want him to be respectful to girls, and treat others the way he would want to be treated. But if jumped on, and push actually came to punch, to stomp some ***....

Yup. Taught my boy to treat everyone with respect until he has to defend himself. Don't pick on people "different" from him. Leave people you don't like alone. Don't start a fight, finish it.

Biggest one I was ever taught was talk is cheap. If it's gunna happen hit hard and fast instead of sitting there running your suck.
