quick story...
My youngest son, who is now 24, shot his first buck when he was around 13 yrs old. I taught him to shoot a bow at that age, but just beginning, he wasn't confident enough, so one evening I stuck him in a stand with his .243 and I climb in my tree stand with my bow.
Within an hour i hear BOOM!!! One shot, then silence. We have walkie talkies, and in a sec his voice crackled "Dad, I just shot a MONSTER!"
I didn't know what to expect. I told him to stay put, and I climbed out of my tree and eased over to him. It wasn't a MONSTER, lol, but it was an older, mature buck who was going downhill, but still had broken off 2 of his beams. No monster, but a damn fine first buck for a kid, and he was tickled to death....

Not scared. COAC doesn't like all the chatting and what not but I don't think he'd ever close up shop on us.
