Hell when I lived out in Denver King Supers did buy one get one free tickets for the Rockies. I'd get two tickets to the bleacher seats for $7.00 IIRC. It was cheaper than going to the movies. Got a lot of free tickets from my wifes boss at the time too. He didn't like baseball but his patients always gave their season tickets to him and he'd turn around and give them to us.

A few hundred bucks for a family trip to one of the Disney parks may well be worth it. I was just doing the arithmetic and I believe every time I got laid by my first wife cost me about $3,263.47.

It's fun with a kid that's the right age. Plus it's only two hours away and I can get cheap gubbment tickets through our base.

Still true actually. But I go for the baseball, so I like to sit in decent seats. Beautiful stadium. Too bad it isn't used for baseball anymore.

It is a beautiful stadium. Catching a ballgame is one of the things I miss most about living out there.

One of the ladies in my office just went, and I know she spent more than $10k for a family of 4 to go!!!

That includes 1 week hotel, flight from WI to FL, tix, food, etc. That is a monumental $$$$$$$ for a vacation.

I'm more in the mindset that I'd rather spend money on longer-term things - motorcycle, land, etc. - something that create those annual experiences. But that's just me.

We spent our money ( with the kids ) on outdoor adventures and experiencing the "world" ... I've got two sons who are responsible, productive and an asset to our family

Ok, that there's funny. I've often said that one of the luckiest things that ever happened to me was that when my first marriage ended, there were no kids and no money. Dodged a bullet big time with that one.

Crap, that one got shut down before it even got interesting.
Did you see that Chikin wants to shut down our home?!?

I can only hope his comment was tongue-in-beak.
