And he hasn't been back to decent himself either.

The best part is MLB chiming in.

Holy crap; learn something new every day. I thought it had to be a blue-highlighted "live" link in order to be clickable. Didn't know you could do that with a quote.

Cool!

Oh, yeah, he is.

I ruffled some feathers in Red Autumn's thread about metal fabrication along the same lines. Boy, those engineers are a touchy bunch.

For yourself, maybe. And that's all that matters, right?

Engineers ... I won't generalize ( too much ) ... My shop was close to the GM Proving Grounds in Milford, MI and I did a LOT of Custom Fab Work on exhaust systems, especially old rods ... Every once in a while I'd get a "What's the molecular composition of the rubber in the exhaust hangers that you use" question ... Suddenly I was "too busy" to be able to do their work and they might check back in a year or so.

Among all the other incomprehensibly stupid comments that guy made, here's the one that struck me...

He was bragging about making $150k/yr, (and I assume that was for more than one year), and when his job is gone he's suddenly at risk of losing a 3 year old bike 'cause he can't make the payments?

WTF was he doing with all the money he was making?

Unless, you don't think, possibly, he was exaggerating about some things...nah.

Speaking of beating one's own chest, I am gonna and probably jinx myself in the process. I did my big bore kit last winter and have been concerned about everything I did. Well, I changed the oil after 5000 miles yesterday, and found virtually no "stuff" on the oil plug magnet. Less than before, actually. I must've done something right.
