This was an insane summer.... I rode about 6000 miles from April - October and had a killer time each and every mile along the way.
Now, unfortunately I have deal with a a serious medical issue and the bike is going to sit for a prolonged amount of time. I bought a battery tender for the first time last night, usually I just take the battery out of the bike and put it on a trickle charge but the street glide has that cool little plug deal so you don't have to do that.
I'm 52 but I ride and **** like i'm 25. I battled cancer two times in the past 6 years and laughed that **** off like it was nothing. I keep my head on a swivel and try my best to stay out of the eye of the local LE. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
I have this massive lump in my neck, I noticed it last friday....... yesterday i went to the doctor and sure enough, cancer. I already knew what it was so it didn't come as a huge surprise.
This week is full of biopsies, brain scans, PET scans and what ever else scan they decide to throw at me prior to surgery next week.
Chemo is part of this package (**** ME!), not much worse in the world than chemo.... that **** can break the strongest of wills and turn a 6'3 255 lb man into a wet blanket.
I know some of you are young and some are older than me, many you have kids and a wife at home.. Hell, I have one in boot camp and my 14 year old daughter is at home in HS. Hug your damn kids and your wife.... Take life by the horns and live every minute like it's your last... Party like you mean it, fight and **** like rockstar. I have, and while I have many regrets i wouldn't change a damn thing except giving more hugs and kisses to the family.
In the end, it's all we have.
peace out.

Hey!
Well it was a good ride home. Base gaskets dont appear to be seeping. Breathers however are misting a bit of oil but I know I need to re route them to a catch can. Putting the Corbin heated seat on today. Its gunna start gettin cooler out there.
