It was bitter sweet.......... According to his recruiter they were picked up at the airport by the drill instructors around 11:00PM last night and loaded onto buses for MCRD.

I can only imagine what's going on right now but knowing my son he is shitting bricks. Living for 13 weeks in with 85 other recruits in a barracks learning how to dress, shave and brush their teeth in 200 seconds must be fun,.

We did get a phone call at 4:00 am this morning from our son.. He sounded like a robot, it went something like this.

"Hello, this is Marine Recruit Issac. I have arrived safe at MCRD San Diego and I am in the care of my Drill Instructer, the next time you will hear from me is by United States Mail within 5 weeks from today" Line go's dead.

**** just got real for that kid.
