TOAK-The Thread of All Knowledge-PeckerWoods IMC.
I hope Russ will continue posting once he buys a new keyboard! Softy, firing up your bike had to sound like symphony music to you. When will BoneWood need a longer belt, 2 pecan pies in one sitting?
To further our knowledge is it pronounced 'pu-con' or 'pee-can' pie?
Thanks for the replies to the 71 Electra Glide query. One of those deals where I think, within reason, you throw away the price book. The Grandsons keep telling him 5k so they can buy it cheap, I think it's worth more than that.

Morning, Mick!

I don't know if you saw my earlier post on this, but KBB suggests about $5500 for that bike.

Mornin', Greg. Yes, I did see your post. This is one of those situations where I'd hate to see him sell it to the non-riding grandson(s). I'd rather offer him more money but don't want to get in the middle of a family deal and have them think I am just 'bidding them up'. I'd like to have the bike to keep.
A ticklish situation for sure. Just thought a starting point would be good to have. From what you have said, this sounds like it could get ugly. Step lightly.
Yep. Part of me keeps thinking "where am I ever gonna get another chance to buy a bike in that condition and know where it's been since it was born". The other part says "his grandsons are his blood, let it go".
If I may okmickwood...I say keep it! give it to the grand kids later..but you enjoy it for now!..just say'n
