It has been my experience and I have seen this at least 8 times among friends and acquaintances, that when the spouse gets some new boobies, the clock starts ticking on the relationship. It skews the balance of power in the relationship as the woman now has an inflated ego, likes the way men look at her and doesn't mind showing off her new fun bags. She will catch the eye of some other man and he will make her feel appreciated and loved, even though husband # 1 did the very same thing and may same the exact same things. She thinks it's better because it's different.....wait, was I talking about getting some strange? I lost track.......
How about you each get 1/2 of the tattoo? If that formula was followed with new **** I doubt all the people I knew would have gotten divorced.

Zal, why is it bad Chi in your eyes???
By you questioning it, maybe it would be?? Do you have any tats? You don't have to put each others portrait in ink. Getting a tattoo together is an awesome idea in my mind, and is a way to symbolize solidifying even more a solid, solid relationship. I have lots and lots of ink. Probably 20 hrs or more on my left arm alone, and every one means something to me. They were well thought out ideas. Some came to me quickly, some took me several weeks to figure out how I wanted it.
Anyway, as far as doing it together, getting something that has meaning to both of you, only you can decide that. Sounds like she's ready, or was.
If you decide to go that route, 2 things are of utmost importance. Make the design your OWN. That being said, a good artist might tweak it a bit. Pick out a good artist to do the work. Don't just walk into a shop, because they will probably let an apprentice do the work, and that isn't always ideal. Get someone that has an excellent reputation, usually owns the shop, and that you feel comfortable with. It's a big deal, cause once that gun starts buzzing, it's permanent amigo.
Personally, I think it's awesome she suggested it. You should feel flattered.

I don't need to get a tattoo with my OL, I have scars from her!
We were talking about a new sales scheme that you may be interested in over in the Mother Thread.

Scars and tattoos have a lot in common. They both hurt when you get em, and they leave a lasting impression on both the mind and body!!
Yep, I have a lasting impression never to sneak up on my wife and goose her while she is cutting vegetables. Freaking ninja......

Actually lucky she didn't cut my heart out, she was damn close when she sunk that freaking blade in my chest. Six inches deep, missed most of everything, nicked a lung. It didn't even register to her what she did till I backed off and told her she better go get some towels and her car. LOL.
