What? Ruin the image of the evil empire? Believe me, I'm not so naive as to believe they don't charge for everything they can but I was first in the door and the "Master Mechanic" was bored I guess. I fully expected to pay for at least a quarter hour of labor. I also think it depends on how you approach them. The service guy was already writing it up and it was the mech who said not to worry about it.

I installed a cruise control on my ElectraGlide earlier in the year, which meant I had to get a flash for the ECM to recognize it. The service manager nixed the 1/2 job time and did it for free, which made me happy.
