But looking at the current '15 CVOs, those prices are just getting out of hand. A fellar could take a stock SG, RK, Ultra, put in a SE120 race motor, truly custom paint, and of course a Baker 7 speed tranny - and still have $$$$ leftover!

It's something Big Dog taught Harley, they seen Big Dog getting 35-40K for a customized softail so they thought they could do it too.

And where is Big Dog today????????? The MOCO needs to keep that in mind too. Those were also different times. I recall a time not that long ago, that choppers were selling for six figures.

Now, that being said, the MOCO does a fine job of understanding basic economics, supply & demand. As long as customers demand a handful of pre-made "custom" bikes, they will supply a few. And while only supplying a few, they keep them exclusive and perhaps increase the demand going forward.

Whew, there's your lesson for today class.

Alright Uncle Chesterwood just scored 6 days off. Got a little work to do on the bike then time to put sum miles on.

Dove season opens on Monday also, I get to ride and kill little animals. Now if I could just figure out how to get laid sometime in between I'll be in heaven.
