You thought wrong. The idea behind texting is having your phone stuck to your face/hands 24 hours a day.

It's illegal here also, but it's a secondary offense, and rarely cited. I'm sure there is stats somewhere but I don't care to look them up. It should be an offense they can pull you over for, in fact I'd be happy if they banned hand held devices while driving, or walking for that matter...
