Well, I always think anyone who dresses to promote an "image" is silly...whether it be hardcore biker, goth,hip hop,rocker,punk,jock,sportbike power ranger, etc.

I always wear jeans & t-shirt. Very UN-image promoting, very neutral, and no one can tell what I'm into by the way I dress. Dickey likes it that way.

 

Never have cared what others thought or think of me.
If a person doesn't approve then get the F away from me and stay on your side of the street, nobody asked to start with.
If I want some **** out of them I would have squeezed their heads.


One of the things I vividly remember ALWAYS hearing from my father rant about when growing up was: Don't do this, don't do that, it ruins the family image.
F the neighbors & what they think, I could care less.
Dad, RIP, never did learn what the meaning of "family" truly meant.
You have only you to answer to & to hell with what others think.
Live your life whatever way it gives you peace & makes you happy.

I was thinking about this recently when after 35plus years as a cop I retired and grew a beard. I can't help be conscious of how other people view me when I get off my chopper and walk into a gas station dressed in leather and boots. It don't worry me none though. I have a vest with badges all over it that I wear to Sturgis for fun but I don't wear it here in Australia because it's not the image I want to project so I wear a plain black one. We all dress to fit some image to a degree I suppose. My pyjamas and slippers are my most comfortable attire but I don't wear 'em everywhere because that's not the image I want to project either. The truth is, if I did, I would be more bad *** than most HD riding pirate clothed motherf*ckers because then I really wouldn't give a f*ck. I don't lay awake nights worrying about what anyone thinks of me but most of us project some sort of image I reckon. Fark I'm a profound bastard sometimes.

 

" Bad ***" has very different meanings at different times in your life.

When you were a kid bad *** meant you got the newest hotrod bicycle for christmas .

Your 20's through your 40's ( for some of us ) meant you were the big swinging dick in the group.

Now at my age bad *** means I gotta change my shorts again .......
