Why are so many of my fellow Harley riders becoming idiots?

There's always room to get better. Wouldn't mind taking the course. I might check out those videos.
Ever commute in Atlanta traffic? Interested to hear what a fellow rider has to say about high traffic riding.
I commute here in L.A. but I have my backroads where traffic isn't bumper to bumper. And I do it slightly off hours. Still city traffic though, and my head is on a swivel and I do have to keep my chops up.

Atlanta is very much like LA (I used to drive big rigs), and you can get around, except during the rush hours, which are 3 hours long or more.

You'll take well to the "head and eyes" rule, already understanding part of it. I gotta say, I've met riders who have seen the video and still ride like they used to. The skills ONLY come by practice in the cones: the video does not ceeate the muscle memory that controls the bike, especially when there's no time to think.

Not just Harley riders; people in general are becoming ********. And, Florida seems to be ******* central. This country is so dumbed down it is embarassing.

Also, the only riders who have dropped bikes at our sessions were the more timid ones, going too slow, not leaning or touching the forbidden front brake lever!

I was looking for a new helmet and one of my local dealers carries brands and models you don't often see in stores so I swung by. The helmet I was wearing was the one I was looking to replace and it was a full face MX helmet with no upper visor. I backed into my spot and was hopping off the bike when this dude comes walking out and looks right at me....
"How you gonna' come ridin' in here on that hog wearin' that full face helmet?"
I asked him if he ever hit the ground at 40+ mph, face first. He said no; I said I have. He walked away.
Idiots are always going to be there, the best you can do is ignore them and move on.

Jeez! I don't know . . . Seems like the same diverse group it's always been. I learned a long time ago that just because they're riding a Harley that doesn't necessarily make them a colleague.
