I liked the never know what you'll get from those old owner/operator motels, some were pretty neat. Never hit what I thought was a bad one, but I've never been concerned with luxury, satisfied with the basics usually. A Motel 8 is fine for me; doesn't run in the family, though, at my Mom's funeral, brother went to Kansas City, didn't like any of the local ones. There were a few that cost more than I'd want to pay, though.

Well ......, I went over to the General Forum for just a bit, for whatever reason. I even responded once. BUT, Holy Cow, who are those people and where do they come from? If that forum is an example of the average motorcycle rider, then we're all in trouble, as they inhabit the same roads that we do. And, I see where the lower side of the Bell Curve hang out.

We tend to stay at Super 8's when we do these bike trips. Don't get too confused that way. Free wifi, the Weather Channel, a bathroom, and a bed. Works for me. Other vacations involve the RV, which I prefer over a motel.

But but they have experts on car tires, knocking out baffles to get more power, and even 883 riders that can outrun sportbikes. Lotta folks actually trying to get help, too, hope I've helped a few. Even learned a couple things meself. I still can't believe after all these years I dint know the left side gas cap turned counter-clockwise, just thought it wus stuck...

hahahaha!

I guess the oil all 3 holes got me. As a Instructor told me in Army electronics school, "Don't know (?), look in the book." Simple advice that works in most, but certainly not all, situations. When I ask questions, I like them to be worthy questions, not something I can figure out on my own.
