I didn't have any till I moved to Arizona when I was 26; had to take antihistamines regularly all the time I lived there. Better in Minnysota most of the year, but spring tree pollen gets to me some years; not at all last year, bad this year. Was popping 3-5 Benadryls a day for a couple weeks, haven't taken one for 3 or 4 days now, mebbe it's over. Allergies can be miserable, worse than a cold or flu sometimes. Retiring really helped, at least I'm not around all those airline chemicals anymore, made a big difference, too. Seems the worst offender for me is something in most perfumes, makes me feel like I got bronchitis almost instantly. And cigarettes... didn't start out anti social, but after moving to Phoenix, pretty much had to avoid the general public like restaurants, church, movies, anyplace you couldn't get away from wimen... At least the wife wasn't a problem, she got it worse than me. Daughter has it, too.

I've hooked up a few cable and DSL modems, usually pretty simple. Wireless routers are what I hate, though they may be getting better. One I used for a few years with my desktop pc was a real pita to set up, then the daughter moved in last month and it didn't like her Mac laptop at all. Got a newer major brand and after a few hours of beating my head on the wall, pitched it in the trash. Literally... She went out and bought a Belkin, brand I thought was cheap chit chinese, but it was simple to install, only took a few minutes, and likes both the Apple and pc world. And I get way faster speeds, even thought it's still the same cable service. Used to like learning about and fiddling with puter stuf, but now I hate it, just want the dammed things to work and don't wanna even look at anybody else's any more. Got all the parts to build a new Win 7 Pro machine before last Christmas, and still haven't started on it. This one dies, I'll get motivated...
