Weather here looks to have stayed just to our south. Drips of raindrops and booms to the east has been it for our day.

 

Leftover BBQ burgers and brats from yesterdays gig for dinner tonight. Yum. That guy sure can BBQ!

 

And the echo from talking to myself is incredibly loud.

 

I'll be getting up there at some point..usually spur of the moment thing.

Goodnight all. Tough couple of days dealing with the never ending issues of my brothers illness. Went to small claims court to support a friends claim today. Local magistrate reviewed the evidence but didn't hand down his judgement. My friend had his property seized by his ex landlord who was angry he didn't move out in the 30 days after he notified him by phone call and of course he neglected to properly serve him with eviction papers evidently. Some of the property he seized was some of my lawn maintenance equipment he used at my business and of course in Michigan simple assault gets you about 20 grand in legal fees so just kicking his *** and taking your property back is out of the question. The guy in question seems sorta simple minded as I've been in the rental business for quite a while and I expect my friend will receive a favorable ruling as I'm unaware of a scenario where you can take a tenants property in lieu of a judgement for damages and will probably get his deposit back also when the judgement is handed down in a week or so. The landlord gave me most of my stuff back already as he really doesn't want to go toe to toe with me but he didn't return a small leaf trailer so I'll bide my time until he rules to go get it back. But hey it's an opportunity to help a friend out and took my mind off some of my brothers issues for most of the day so lesson learned, when your personally challenged, help out a friend to feel better.
