Remember me complaining about no where to put snow? Only place is under big maple in back yard. Tough to see that there's a covered patio off the back.

Hadda gully washer day, and the cable went out early evening. At least it came back in a few hours, last week it was the rest of the day.
Put new pads on the van's rear brakes yesterday, metal was just touching on the top edge of two pads, just starting to put a shiny line on the disk. Got my money's worth outta them. One of the caliper pin holes in the big casting that everything attaches to was stripped, thought I was in for a misery time, but when I checked online to see if the nearest parts place had one, they had something I never heard of; an oversized self tapping pin. Soooo much easier. Werked great, only you don't wanna just drive one in with a wrench, every 1 1/2 - 2 turns it'd seize up, so I'd gently turn it back and forth a bit, occasionally pull it out and clean it, and eventually got it down flush. some loctite, looks like a winner. Was afraid I'd hafta drill, tap, and put in a helicoil, and not much room to do it. Sumbody hadda real neat idea with that pin.

Looks good and sturdy. The angle cuts give it more style. Gonna be a water shedding cover, or a lattice?
