Chloe is giving me "the look." Guess I better let her do her thing outside. Later men. As you were!

That's what the dealer who will be testing the bearing asked me. One at a time. The comp will be an engineering thing, I'm just a salesman. But I can source a bearing gol dang it.

Werked with a few female mechs, wasn't any fun. Lacked strength & co-ordination for too many things, guys hadda carry part of their load, too. There's some that are sharp, though. Hadda lady friend that really knew her 747's, never teamed with her, but heard she was a good one. Few out there. Maybe 5%... My daughter could probably do it, but to her wrenching is just a chore, can do it when it needs it, but doesn't like it. Probably got more tools than 98% of the females in the country, but that's just for her own stuf, doubt she'd ever wrench on anyone else's.

I think most of the import problems are grease, not metal. Hadda Toyota eating alternator bearings, took the seals offa new one and it had about a 16th inch bead of clear (vaseline?) grease on one side, on the cage, not even touching a ball. Wiped that off, put Aeroshell 7 (common aircraft grease at the time) in it, got over 60,000 more miles on it till I sold the car. Ran into the same thing on a lot of aircraft bearings - and some of those were in plastic envelopes marked "Country of Origin Unknown". So much for FAA oversight...

In my experience, chinese bearings are worst, Korean are best from Asia. I refuse to use anything from India, so can't say about their stuf. Can't go wrong with made in the USA, get that when I can.
