What's really funny is that it's illegal to text in PA while driving....doesn't seem to stop anyone from doing it.

What is funny is the fact that our "brilliant" lawmakers passed a law that levies only a $50.00 fine.......FIFTY BUCKS!!!!!......and actually believe it will have any affect at all on the perpetrators of the crime.

I think that there's more to it thanjust that. Might have to be a fine only in conjunction with another infraction. Talked to a trooper one day about that. he said it's almost impossible to enforce..something about not being able to take the phone and prove they were texting. They should make thelaw very simple...trooper shouldn't have to "prove" anything. Just like running a red light or a stop sign. " I saw you texting, here's your $500 citation. Drive carefully now""
