Hey Coastie. How do you like those Commander IIs? I am thinking of those for when I need new rubber (soon)??
This is my second set and I have about 10,000 on them and can't believe how good they look. The first set I traded the bike before too many miles rolled over but I've had good experience with both sets. Some say that they are too hard of a compound, that they spin too easy. My last RKing had 100 ft/lds of torque and they only spun a couple times when new under hard acceleration. I cammed up my 08 Ultra (Might be a little faster than yours, it's black HAHA) and I really only noticed that they wear much better than any other tire I've ever had in 42 years of hard riding. The Dunlops would be squared off by now and handling squirrely. Although I am the picture of civility and common sense I ride with some friends who are hooligans (cops. sportsters, beer, etc,) that ride like maniacs. (In my world there are two kinds of riders, Anyone who rides faster than me is a maniac and anyone who rides slower then me is an azzzhole HAHA) Sooo I get to performance test my bike chasing the Azzhats down remote curvy roads. The chicken strips get very thin. The bike leans over untill the exhaust clamp bolts drag with no grip problems or unusual frame oscillations so the sidewall/ cornering dual compound must be soft enough.

Mornin all, flight for Daytona leaves at 6:30 in the mornin outta Detroit. Should be driving back 16-18th. Then fly down to Mississippi on the 22nd. Up norfh trip in April might be bringing home a 4 wheel side by side. First week of July me and 2 buddies are taking a ride around lake Huron. That's all for now.
