I've been using the gels in my bikes for several years. If you take care of them in the winter they last for years.

I buy mine at the stealer (HD) the last one I bought was 4 years ago and I think I paid $125. In the winter, I pull the battery' (s) out of the bike, keep them in the house, (keep them from freeezing) and charge 'em about every other month for 6 hours. They seem to work, for me anyway.

Try one, you might like it. Just remember, it's not the cold that kills a battery, it's the heat. ThaT'S what I have always went with. Your welcome.

My uncle did too. And there is a big difference in the water/acid battery and the gel types.. As you know.
