Chip and seal is the predominant yearly road maintenance around these parts. Eats motorcycle tires up much quicker than smooth asphalt. A couple of days in and you have ridges of loose rock on the edges of the tire tracks, and fresh tar in the tire tracks. Always make things interesting when headed into corners.
