The truck is needing some major front end work though, not as easy to maneuver around them. The **** part is all the gravel that seemingly came from no where after the rain. Most of it was gone as they didn't put a ton of it down this winter. Who knows where it came from. Could just be the asphalt patches breaking up.
Used to chip seal brand new pavement here, first winter it'd be popping out and "gravel" the road pretty good. I thought it was a dumb idea in this climate, and finally the peeps in charge quit doing it to new pavement a few years ago. I've seen brand new asphalt pothole the first winter; those chips popping out left little craters that grew real fast.

Even with the "fog" coat on top it's a terrible idea. There is a few counties that will chip seal the ruts in the asphalt. Really dumb idea...

Nothing like throwing 1/4 inch stones in to your bike....

I've driven our dump trucks on it, and our superduty with a gooseneck. I can't imagine it's much fun in a semi.

I wish I had pictures, this road by where my wifes dad lives, they paved the whole road except a 8" area in the middle where the lines are, and the 6" from the white lines. 2 lane hwy. The things they will do to cut costs. Now thats a fun road to pull a trailer down and try and pass someone.
