Thats why I kept 4 and 6 foot sections of pipe large enough to slip over the handle of my 1/2 inch ratchet on my splicing rig. A lot of guys were glad I had em as a lot of the splice cases in the manholes were submerged under water in a corrosive enviroment in the manholes of Detroit. Lord only knows what we pumped out of there b efore we could work on them. I believe it contributed to some of my health issues, but using the pipes for leverage definitely saved my shoulders and back at times...
