Any excuse to ride is a good one. Nice pics. Boat ramp looks like Lake Nacimiento.

You guys have neat stuff in your area. I've got a lotta corn:

And the only unusual and old thing around here has signs all over saying keep out. Plus, I didn't want to get the 1200 dirty.

But it was sunny this day, and I forgot my reading glasses. And who cares if an old 883 gets dirty.

Of all the places I've lived, Arkansas was my favorite for riding. Had lots of old stuff to see there, besides the scenery. I didn't take many pictures there, on the bucket list to revisit and take a bunch of pics. With a better bike than this piece of crap, too, worst Honda I ever had (and had a couple I decided I wasted my money on - best one was the old 305, and then I'd say the Helix scooter I still have).

Arkansas was favorite road state (some pretty good off road, too), but Arizona was by far the best off road riding. You could ride all day without touching pavement. That little half pint Yamaha I got for the wife was a piece of crap, too, don't think it had 100 miles or a scratch on it when I traded it back in for a real dirt bike. If I'd only taken it for a test ride, knew in a few seconds in the dirt I'd made a mistake; handling was so bad she could barely ride it. I think this pic might have been the first time we took it out, I'd taken the 3 wheeler in case it didn't work out for her, and I got stuck riding the damned thing. After this, we rode XT175's, monoshock rear, fine handling bikes, and the last one I had was a 4 stroke XT250 single; that was a really great handling dirt bike - and that little 250 would snap you up to 80 mph real quick, but it was a gas hog, my 1200 gets better.

But for Florida, I want more bug protection than you get on a bike. Sco, you aren't the only one that has experienced the joys of English engineering and Lucas electrics.
