I hear ya.... have to finish up the softail so I can get my 4-wheeler on the lift, valves need adjusted bad.... PITA job, havta tear half of it apart to get to the valve covers....

solid lifters? Woulda thought valve lashing was a thing of the past.

CanAm 800.... .006 exhaust and .004 intake... 4 valve heads

I run solid rollers in my BBC motors.... PITA but power was phenomenal....

it's been a while since I've built one. From what I've seen solid lifters are great with a flat tappet, but really no advantage with a roller.... unless you're running high enough rpm to worry about valve float.
