S&S says max 32 degree, Crane suggests 35... think I'll stick with 32, too little ain't as bad as too much.
As old as mine probably is, wondering if I should get a new VOEs. S&S says you can run it without, but it's supposed to improve throttle response and gas mileage. Think I'll stick with one. I wonder if a 5" or a 6" HG would be better on an S&S?
I have an HI-4, too, hope I never have a problem with it, gets buried with the shark nose on. Won't have rusty studs when it's running again.

S&S manual says to use a dial back timing light, but the Crane ignition manual has instructions for using a standard timing light, which is what I have. Seems fairly simple - I'll find out, will check it when the Glide's back together, before the fairing goes on.

HG - referring to inches of mercury, how much vacuum before it switches. Don't want it switching too soon for high compression engines. If I haven't got that backwards...
