Argh, I jinxed meself. Said a few pages back I wasn't having trouble with tight screws on the glide. Just tried pulling the swingarm bolt out. Fudge. It's welded in. I know you can hacksaw the swingarm loose, but I'd still have the center of the bolt in the case. What's really crappy, it's been out of there before, and from the slightly beat up look of it, someone must've put it back in again. With no lube. I have a bigger sledge hammer, just reluctant to whack it with the big one. I sure don't wanna crack that case. Doubt penetrating oil will reach deep in there, either. Get 7 strong young guys to hold it up sideways inna hydraulic press? I'll have to dream on this tonite, maybe it'll be simple tomorrow. already had a couple things do that. Swing arm's probably too heavy to hang on the wall, anyway, join the pile on the floor or the table.
