Put in 37 years in a paper mill. No windows in the production area. Couldn't look and see if it was raining or even if it day light or dark outside.

worked in one for a couple weeks back when I was in college. Only way to know the weather was to hit up the shipping dock.

 

Good pay for this area and steady work is about all I got to say about that place.

 

Late mornin to y'all. Slept in till 9, ain't been able to do that for quite a while.

weather - it's raining here too, of course, just lightly off & on

age - I think one of ya is just a wee bit older'n me, won't say who in case I'm wrong

house buiilding - I still got tile, flooring, cabinets, wallboard, wiring, and a couple complete bathrooms to finish. Oh yeah, and put sum concrete in that hole in the basement, if it ain't leaked yet, don't think it will. Summers, the projects tend to be mostly outside. Like yesturday, raining so I hit sum projects in the grudge. Now i've made meself tired, thinking about all that, wunder what's next on Netflix...

jobs - mighta been different if I'd started with Delta, but didn't, started with Hughes Airwest in Phoenix, and it wus sure an ups and downs career. Hughes wus kinda mean to werk for, but wus only beat by Delta for pay and benefits mosta the time. Then they got bought, and it wus a long downhill fight to retirement, with one big raise that didn't last but a few years, and then it wus the bottom of the majors in pay & benefits to retirement. Ironically, I woulda been back to the top pretty quick if I hadn't retired early, Delta bought the company. I like retirement better'n another 10 or 12 bucks/hr.

 

I woke up at 2 am with an insatiable thirst...then pissed half the nigh.....

There will be plenty of time for a nap when the day come's. Get off that couch and give me 50, now !!

 

Been to town and did the Memorial Day thing. I think it's time to get a beer and, fire up the grill!!
