betcha the guy that designed that thingy is a barista at coffee for 6 buckstar

 

He prolly should have payed more attention to the coffee and left the design work to others.

 

Gonna be interesting to see how everything shakes out with that Polaris Slingshot. It has already been turned down in some states and more are reconsidering...
It is NOT a motorcycle by any stretch of the imagination
And it doesn't meet federal safety standards as an automobile
so......what is it????

Funny thing is I saw one that looked very similar to it, sometime back in 2004 or 05' at Daytona, custom built with an S&S motor....

 

He liked the little Honda better. Thought the thingy was strange looking, likes bikes better. Good fer him.

I suspect it will be all over onna these days. Just a matter of time till someone gets hamburgered in one, and the other states will take a closer look at it. Whatever else it is, it's a convertible, just without a top (if it does succeed, bet there'll be aftermarket tops). I'd get a 4 wheel convertible with way better handling before one of those. Would be more comfy, too, that thing ain't exactly plush. I dunno, Polaris has some good mechanicals in em, but some of their styling has got to be limiting their market. Don't have to copy Harley exactly, but really, a Bozo the clown front end on their big bagger? Even the kid laughed at it.
