good for you! I enjoyed the **** out of it! 1130 miles in 5 days but had a day and a half lost due to a broken drive belt! I'll be heading to Arkansas next. I actually like the roads around her place too. Lotsa hills and curves, faster sweepers.

I like east Texas There's lots of nice country there and in Arkansas. When I go back down in June, I'll probably stop off to see some friends up in Bentonville

Just left Susan at hospital, she's had chest pains for a few days. I finally talked her into going to ER, he ECG was not normal so i helped talk her into staying for a 24hr hold.
Please think about her.

Nice and warm up here today, at least 40, but way too much salt to think riding. Did about 30 miles in the cage, though, and the roads are somewhere south of sh*ttee; not just potholes and cracks, but the joints are frost heaved something awful, some stretches you just bounce continually. Sure be glad when the salt's gone and I can escape across the border into Wisconsin, roads aren't near as bad there.

Rode a couple hundred miles in every direction from Ft. Hood back in 66-67, and down to Houston once, and Dallas ? times. Somewhere in the wanderings found some roller coaster hills that were kinda fun. Mostly I liked off roading there, could go hours across the plains without seeing more than longhorns, deer, armadillos, an occasional abandoned pickup truck and a few bits of airplanes. I liked the solitude, hardly any traffic on back roads back then.

That's one of my favorite riding states. Can't go wrong hardly anywhere in the northwest quadrant, or highway 7 from Harrison to Hot Springs, and all those roads near it. Get a chance, go up Mt. Nebo, near Dardanelle; if there's anything like that in Texas, I sure didn't see or hear of it. Sure as hell nothing close to it up here.

If the current gf ever left the picture, I wouldn't even want to let another woman in my house! Just too used to having things my way, and that's nothing like a woman's way. At least the gf hasn't complained about the Tour Glide in the living room...
