G'Mornin', Pozeez.......been runnin' ragged lately. FIL was brought to hospital last week with Congestive Heart Failure and kidney failure.Sent him home with hospice care on Sunday , really not anything they can do for him. We celebrated his 97th birthday with him yesterday. Guy has not been in the hospital or had a serious illness in over 30 yrs.Just a matter of time now , but he's in no pain and aware of what's going on. It's been taking a toll on my wife. All family including grandkids and great grandkids are within 2 miles, so he gets to pass with some degree of dignity with all his loved ones around him.I guess you can't ask for much more than that.

Morning Al:
Really sucks about the FIL! As you say though he is 97 and has had a good life, and gets to go with dignity and the love of family around him. Hard on the family non the less! Thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

My dad passed with family all around his bed....I dunno 'bout dignity, but it was comforting. At least as well as could be anyway....97 is good run,3 life times compared to fellas in the old west era.

As others said, 97 is a good run. My Grandmother was born in 1906 and died in 2006, she made it to 100. Glad your FIL is in no pain and is aware. Thoughts and prayers sent.
