Samsung 65", smart (not really) tv, about all the bells & whistles. Picture is great, rich colors - thought my previous 10 year old Pioneer Elite 53" was good, but this one's way better. Netflix streams like Blu Ray. I actually got a 72" Vizio first, looked good in the store, but had a dim area in one corner. Had to adjust the picture (presets, but I had to make custom ones, presets didn't do it) for different Netflix shows and dvds, that kinda sucked. Older shows, ones not in widescreen mostly looked pretty low resolution, just too big a screen for standard square tv resolution. Don't watch much of that, but sometimes. The Samsung has one picture setting that works fine for everything, just like my old Pioneer, no pita adjustments for about every other show/movie.

When I took it back, paid a bit more and got the Samsung, no regrets. I thought I'd really like an 80", but the 65 is a better fit than the 72 was. I think the only tv that looked better enough to tell in the store was Sony, but they were a lot more expensive.

Mine has 3D, and it will show "3D" for everything (have to wear the glasses), but I don't really care for it, don't use it. A blu ray 3D disk might look good, if there are any. Not an option, get a high end set, it'll probably have it, but you don't have to use it.

Now if movie makers would just stop those extreme closeups they like so much, shows every hair a guy misses shaving and every imperfection in a gal's skin, some of em don't look too purty 8 time life size... photo off the tv.

 

I just bought a Samsung 60" Smart? tv. Best tv I have ever had thus far.
