Afternoon check in.... headed to the grudge to repair some cues, 3 to be exact...

I havta get a cue together to donate to my 9-ball team mate who lost everything but the clothes he was wearing last Saturday when his house burn't to the ground! I figured that was the least I could do....

 

That sucks, never went through that but it has to be a PITA to start over. Well he can check pool cue of his list.

 

Been there, done that. The house I was renting in 2006 burnt to the ground. Why, of course I had no insurance. Me, the OL and dog made it out, OK. Car and bike was OK too. All we got out with, was what we were wearing. The neighbor lady gave me a old set of cloths of her husbands. Kakkie pants, and a collar shirt. Can you see me wearing that?? I wore that to work on the next Monday, all the guys at work already heard about the house. The next day, everybody at work brought in stuff. Cloths, dishes, pots and pans, ect. In no time, I was back in a pair of jeans that was stained with oil and gasoline.

After 3 weeks, I rented another house and we moved in with nothing. Slept on the living room floor on a blanket. All of this happened in November. Finally, I bought a bed, Hines found me a truck load of furniture, ect. It was a rough come back. But that's how I ended up in the Possum Players M/C.

 

Hate to lose my photos, have 2 bikes I'd rather not have to replace (the beer hauler ain't one of em), and it'd probably be a pita to get back into some of my financial accounts without passwords, but otherwise, might be a relief, end of house and most other unfinished projects.

 

Life can sure be interesting JW, but that doesn't mean it's always fun. I just figure without the crap that's happened the last 60+ years, I wouldn't be where I am today, with the people and things that comfort me. Sounds like you had a good group of folks around you then.

 

I lost it all!! My Fathers watch, all the photo's from decades past, coins, guns, ol lost her jewery. Everything man!! I'm over it now, but let me tell ya I found out it is best not to keep all your eggs in one basket, If ya know what I mean.

 

That really blows!!!...Man, Fire scares me probably worse than anything!!!

 

I hear ya. One just don't realize what you have squirled away till it's gone. Like, Grandma's wedding ring, or Grampa's fishing poles? All the stuff insurance can't replace.

KO, I better get to the job, last night they acted like they wanted me to come back tonight.

 

One more thing. My sister has my Dad's army uniform from the Korean War. If she didn't have it, it would be gone too.
