Musta been awful.
I've had several really bad moments in aircraft; it does scare you. Mind just goes kind of blank when it looks like you'll be dead in a few seconds, but the anticipation is still pretty bad. But the worst that ever actually happened was a big dent in the nose. Was usually over in a few seconds, but the DC8 that went off the runway in Anchorage and spun backwards took what seemed like a long time to stop.

My only bad experience was some really, really bad weather. When the captain tells the flight attendants to buckle in, you know it's going to be serious. It was. There was no doubt in my mind that when we hit this big downdraft, anybody who wasn't strapped into their seats would have broken their necks against the ceiling.

3 down 1 to go!! It's 27* and we were suppose to get some snow this morning, but it was an uneventful drive home. North wind at 18 mph sure is cold!!
