Posers' Coffee House, All Bullshit Accepted, Part VI
That scooter actually looks like some of the current chinese ones, never saw anything like it back then. My younger brother had a lot of physical problems after being in the first Iraq war, but at least I didn't lose him, and not nearly as bad as Coastie's brother sounds. Sucks having family members get those kind of health problems and losing some of them.
I've posted this pic of my younger brother before, don't know if you've seen it. Think he was 12 in this pic. He could ride the 305, was a natural; "borrowed" my first motorcycle not long after I got it and rode around the neighborhood, with no instruction at all on clutch and gears, figured it out watching me when we went for two up rides.
Was several years before I got a real trail bike, but from the beginning, did a lot of off road riding, thought it was the most fun, and still do. I've even off roaded on a hardtail Harley - wouldn't recommend it, jumps are kinda hard on the butt....

The scooter in my pic is a 90cc Fuji Rabbit. Fuji Heavy Industries decided to get on the motorcycle craze sweeping the US in the early '60's. They really didn't "get it" though. I still remember one of the slogans from the user's manual: "Safe riding will become a habit, when you ride a Fuji Rabbit".
After that one, we had the 150. The darn thing was actually pretty cool. One speed, fluid drive, no clutch. Just twist & go: Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Ex sil hadda work all day - contracts for plowing businesses besides the other job - so he let my daughter have the little guy this evening, even though it was one of his days. Kinda nice, having the kids back this evening and making a pizza. Just left, gives me time for sumptin to drink and mebbe watch a show on Netlix. Been a good day.
