anyways,,,The low down on my pool league, any lucky shots go in and you lose your turn, regular 8 ball , but if ya scratch on the 8 you give ball in hand instead of lose....no 8 on the break.....it gets spotted.....and the ***** are a point a piece plus 7 for the 8. I start out as a 50........meaning I need to win about 4 matches too reach my handicap.

Some the same in our Wed night league.... call your pocket, call your defense... eight on the break is a win.... scratch on the eight or pocket the eight in wrong pocket you lose... ball in hand if anywhere on the table if you scratch or a ball doesn't touch a rail or scratch on the break...
