Read yer tool thread Dan....Them people are fullashit, plain and simple.
OSHA don't make tool lists....only the company in question can decide what tools are required.
OSHA only sets standards for the safe operation of said tools, and operations in the workplace.
Hadda deal with MSHA most times on my job....same thing, only for the mining industry.
That outfit made OSHA look like a buncha Boy Scouts.
I know so I spent the morning today making up a detailed tool list including brands & model numbers of what I have there and the statement saying since it's on company property they are responsible for replacement or repair of said tools as they are damaged, worn out or stolen with the usual signature & company name places to be signed and copied . They wanna play lists lets play lists , it will all get dropped trust me I'm not buying big azz pipe wrenches . I needed to do that anyway for my insurance with the pics I'll take tomorrow .

Well if they force their hand Harbor Freight pipe wrenches are cheep but don't put your body in danger trysting them. That's what we buy. The irrigation crew has only broken 1 of the 2 footers.
