Damn dude , nice perk . We don't do sick time just accumulated time you can use and they will cash you out without warning over 120hrs .

 

lessee..1 week after 1 year, 2weeks till the 8th year, 3 weeks after that....vacay time......4 personal/sick days a year, plus 8 holidays.........nuttin' accumilates 'cept the wrinkles on da forehead...

Never had a job where I had any sick time.....ya don't wurk...ya don't get paid. Did have vacation time though...but they didn't like ya usin it unscheduled...ya know, like for bein sick...WTF!!!!
Read yer tool thread Dan....Them people are fullashit, plain and simple.
OSHA don't make tool lists....only the company in question can decide what tools are required.
OSHA only sets standards for the safe operation of said tools, and operations in the workplace.
Hadda deal with MSHA most times on my job....same thing, only for the mining industry.
That outfit made OSHA look like a buncha Boy Scouts.

When doing stuff at the rock quarry my boss told me if I saw MSHA to turn around and leave. They don't mess around. Very strict.
