Wasn't a heavy bike, but more than I could lift into the truck by myself, didn't have a ramp. Wasn't a problem in the boonies (Arizona), plenty of places where I could get the tailgate against the ground. Used the same rig to truck a 650 pounder once, too.

Garage roof trusses in this house have way too much flex in them for me to feel comfortable using my chain hoist, sucks, hoists are handy. Easy way to hold a bike straight up or just lift one end up. I did hold the front end up on the little Yamaha trail bike - frame too short to fit on my jacks - but I could lift the whole bike by myself. And just stand there with it, my days of lifting 250 lbs into the back of a pickup truck are over, joints go into agony with that kind of weight now.
