Somewhere south of -10 it's amazing how fast exposed skin hurts. I've even worn goggles to get the mail; any breeze and my eyes hurt and water up so bad I can't see at -20. Never had gloves that would work at -20, have to wear mittens or the fingers freeze. Never rode a bike below zero, but put a lot of miles on in the teens and 20's, but I was dressed for it. One of my coldest long rides was Arkansas of all places, hit a light snowstorm riding the old 305 Honda to Ft. Hood in the 60's, guess it was winter. Hit a couple hours of snow in Oregon in the 70's, was really starting to feel the cold when I broke out in sunlight, don't think I could have kept that one up all day. Had a frame mount Vetter type fairing and tall windshield on that one, woulda been a real misery on the old naked 305.
Thanks, Scotty! Herb is experiencing technical difficulties (among other things) So we're switching to AL with a live report from NE Pa...... Temperature is 14* with a wind of 15 mph and a snow squall moving thru. Wind chill of -6* with a "real feel" of -14*!

I'd say the mail could wait, but I'm supposed to have a Netflix dvd out there; guess I'll bundle up real good. My box is 3 houses down, and it's windy today, bare skin will hurt before I can get out and back. Used to be able to take it better than I can now.
ol has one ....getting scalloped on friday.....doc doesn't like the looks of it......gonna be a byopsy deal. little squirrels eye and it's done. ( She had it ever since I known her, I ain't worried to much.
There's gotta be one in every group! I unfriend you!
It was the outside stuff and the copper is still there. New phone box on the outside, new line coming inside, and one modem to run the Internet and phone. They had run the fiberoptic a couple of years ago when our underground utilities were redone. Our Internet speed went from 1.2 megs to 6.6 megs, so that is good. Some more $ and we could have had 20 megs, but I am good. Our bill went down $20.
