Those look like su's. Didn't know Z's had those. Or are they Japanese copies? I'd have to say the worst carbs I've ever worked on were Japanese, way too complicated. I threw a couple away on Toyotas and put on simple Italian Webers, way better power, huge increase in gas mileage. And about 80 less parts...
Yep, they're SU's.....they were on the 240s from '70 to '73. '75 and up were fue injected. This car is a '76 with all the computers and injection stripped out and early intake and carbs put in...much cleaner look. SUs are pretty simple carbs.

Can't wait to see it.
I'm thinking that after 100,000+ miles on my original SE compensator, it's getting a little weak. I'll be taking a look at it one of these days soon, as I am going to be doing some PM.
I'm expecting to see a lot of wear on the hub spokes and ramps and it seems like the springs are getting weak. Guess we'll see when I open it up.
